The West Point Cadet Gospel Choir continued an outstanding tradition of singing at the Inspire Dinner supported the Directorate of Admission, Diversity Outreach Office's Inspire Dinner at the Thayer Hotel. The Inspire Dinner, a culminating event for USMA's most competitive applicants, is held for minority cadet candidates and their families visiting West Point prior to their acceptance and matriculation. The choir also took a trip to the National Museum of African American History & Culture in Washington, D.C. on a tour lead by Dr. Krewasky Salter, Department of History faculty alum, patrons of the museum engaged with cadets to offer their appreciation and support of their service and legacy. Also, they met with the T.C. Williams High School (Remember the Titans) JROTC program in Alexandria, VA. The choir performed, and had a Q&A about attending USMA, then had lunch with the student body.
