Obstacle Course at the Bolt for Ben Half Marathon

Members of the (Black and Gold) Obstacle Course Racing Team had the opportunity to compete in the Bolt for Ben half marathon in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Competing in Bolt for Ben was a step in the team’s effort to prepare for the Brooklyn Marathon this November. The team swept the field in taking multiple places 1st through 5th throughout 19-23 age groups. The fastest men’s time was 1:25:47 and fastest women’s time was 1:42:11 with all team members learning their bodies paces for future races. Not only was the race preparation for coming events, but also a chance to support the Franklin Lakes Community. This was the fourth annual race orchestrated by the Franklin Lakes community in support of Ben Landel, a local soccer and track athlete who is currently fighting lung cancer. 100% of the race’s proceeds were donated to the support of Ben Landel and the Fight Against Cancer.
