Picatinny Arsenal Capstone Kickoff Meeting

The Armament Research, Development, and Engineering Center (ARDEC) at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ hosted a capstone kickoff meeting for the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering (CME). Twenty-nine cadets and six faculty members met with clients and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on armament related technologies including Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS), weapon and projectile design, and Pyrotechnic/Energetic materials. While there, the cadets received valuable technical information in support of their capstone projects while touring some of the ARDEC fabrication, laboratory and testing facilities. Following the visits, the cadets attended an outdoor ceremony where LTC Brian Novoselich, Director of the Center for Innovation and Engineering (CIE) presented Mr. Leon Manole (ARDEC) with a small gift from CME. LTC Novoselich expressed collective gratitude to Mr. Manole in recognition for his thirty years of government service as well as over a decade of collaborative work with CME coaching, teaching, and mentoring hundreds of cadets on over 50 capstone projects related to weapons engineering.
