After the first round of preliminaries at the 2017 Winter Cup Challenge, cow Nathan Goff sits 30th in the all-around fueled by his third-place routine on the high bar. "I am really proud of Nathan's performance," said head coach Dr. Doug Van Everen. "We took a gamble and made some changes to his routines to add difficulty and it was worth taking the chance. I was really happy with what he was able to accomplish on a big stage among high-caliber competition." Goff turned out the third-best high bar routine in his heat with a score of 12.850 (international scoring) just behind Jalon Stephens (13.200) of Minnesota and Brandon Briones (13.150) from the Olympic Training Center.
