Rollover Prevention Capstone TARDEC Trip

CDTs John Rogers, Jack Kewley, and Stephanie Geyer accompanied by their advisor, LTC Novoselich traveled to the Tank Automotive Research Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) in Warren, MI as a part of their capstone research project addressing military vehicle rollover prevention. This opportunity afforded the cadet project team the chance to learn more about TARDEC’s capabilities and methods for conducting vehicle testing and analysis. Following an extensive tour of their facilities, the group was given the chance to collaborate with TARDEC engineers to discuss their project and possible Team ATLAS met with Mr. Ryan Petillo and fellow engineers from Picatinny Arsenal future projects between TARDEC and D/CME. The day culminated with the cadets participating in TARDEC’s weekly professional development seminar by briefing engineers and scientists on the current status of their project and garner feedback on the future of the design and how to improve moving forward.
