Cow attacker Rachel Hornick and plebe goalie Maddie Burns have each been recognized by the Patriot League for their outstanding performances in Saturday's victory over Marist. Hornick was named the Patriot League Attacker of the Week after a seven goal performance. The Calvert, MD native netted Army's first four goals of the game and added three more in the contest for a career-high. "Rachel has really come into her own on the offensive side of the ball for us this year, said Noto Family head women's lacrosse coach Kristen Skiera. "She has worked hard to diversify her game and be a threat both with and without the ball. Her teammates and coaches trust in her ability to make things happen out on the field." The seven goals were also a program record for a single-game performance. Hornick scored seven goals on nine shots and added a ground ball and caused turnover. Burns received rookie of the week honors after entering the net for the final 42 minutes of the game to secure the victory for the Black Knights. Read More
