The Domestic Affairs Forum visited Ottawa and Kingston, Canada to celebrate 150 years of Canadian Confederation on the 2017 Defense and Foreign Policy Study Tour sponsored by the Consulate General of Canada in New York. Cadets visited the Canadian War Museum and met with Members of Parliament, officials from the Canadian Ministry of Defense, and diplomats from Global Affairs Canada to better understand the enduring strength of US-Canadian relations. On the way back to West Point, DAF stopped overnight in Kingston to visit the Royal Military College (RMC) and attend a lecture on the history of US-Canada relations. This trip section marks the 10th anniversary of the West Point Defense and Foreign Policy Study Tour to Ottawa, Canada and highlights the enduring relationship between the Department of Social Sciences and the Consulate General of Canada in New York.
