65 cadets from History of the United States and Advanced History of the United States travelled with the History Department the nation's birthplace, Philadelphia. Guided by CPT Bergman, MAJ McGovern, CPT Browning, CPT Kiser, and Dr. McDonald, the group visited the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the National Constitution Center, the Second Bank of the United States, Franklin Court, and Christ Church. The day was capped with a reception hosted by the West Point Society of Philadelphia. The following day cadets and faculty toured Valley Forge, examining the fateful winter of 1777-78 which served as a crucible for the American army.
