Crew Victory over RMC

The Army Crew Team competed in their first race of the 2017 Spring Semester in a dual against RMC, finishing in an overall team victory! Highlights from the competition: Cadets Hoyes finished 2nd and Savidge finished 3rd in the Novice Men Event 1, both personal records. In the Varsity Women's Event USMA swept the board finishing on top! The top three cadet competitors in the VW event PR: 1st Boelter, 2nd Pile, 3rd Makuch. In both the Varsity Men Events all USMA competitors finished ahead of RMC. The first heat of the varsity men ended with a tie for first between cadets Danielsen and Brooks. The second heat of the varsity men was also a sweep, as cadets Wagner, Toch, Townsend, Lancaster, and Rapp finished in the top 5, all within 5 seconds of each other. At the end of the competition RMC and USMA joined forces to compete in a relay race comprised of 4 people per team (2 RMC, 2 USMA). It was a great way to end the competition to demonstrate good sportsmanship and the unity between of both teams.
