Led by Parker Gahagen's 18 saves, the Army West Point hockey team blanked American International on Tuesday night by a score of 2-0 at the Mass Mutual Center. The game was scoreless through the first two periods, but a shorthanded goal by Ryan Nick with 2:45 to go in the contest gave the Black Knights their 12th win of the season and an important two league points. Army improves to 12-8-3 overall and 11-6-1 in the AHA. The two points earned today gives the Black Knights solo control in the league with 23 points. Gahagen recorded his fifth shutout of the season and ninth of his career. He is tied for second in the Cadets' record book for single-season shutouts and second among career marks.
