Civil Rights Cadets Listen to Bobby SealeProfessor Anil Mukerjee led an academic trip section to the New York Public Library's Schomburg Center in Harlem NY to attend a talk given by Bobby Seale, one of the founders of the Black Panther Party. The occasion was the launch of their new book of photographs documenting the early years of the Black Panthers in California: Power to the People, The World of the Black Panthers. Cadets attending were alumni of the Civil Rights Staff ride run jointly by the Departments of History and Law as well as those undertaking research as part of the Diversity Office Research thread. The talk is one of many in the series "Black Power 50 Talks" organized by the New York Public Library to commemorate fifty years of the Black Power movement.
