Cadets Meet with MG Zhang

DFL and the Chinese section assisted the West Point Command team with a visit by People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Major General Zhang Mingcai. After a USMA tour, MG Zhang met with the Commandant, BG Holland, to discuss past, present, and future West Point/China relationships. After this office call, MG Zhang met with COL Ebner, DFL Department Head, and discussed potential future USMA/DFL and PLA cooperation. Afterwards, MG Zhang and his staff received a command brief from Dr. Gallagher. Lastly, Cadets in LC475 Chinese Media asked questions of MG Zhang and discussed current geopolitical affairs. Throughout the morning, Dr. Gallagher of the Chinese section was absolutely instrumental in hosting MG Zhang and facilitating communication with West Point leadership.
