West Point SWE Chapter Attends WE16

The officers from the West Point Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Chapter attended WE16, which is an annual event administered by the SWE. WE16 is the world’s largest conference and career fair for women in engineering and technology. The conference consists of hundreds of workshops, keynote speeches, and mentorship sessions and were attended by more than 9,000 professional and collegiate engineers. Cadets attended the collegiate welcome luncheon and various briefings and working groups, to include talks on effective communication, negotiation, women in the oil and energy industry. Cadets also attended the conference career fair and learned from how various companies were striving to increase organizational diversity.
