Cycling at the Northhampton International Cyclocross

Cycling at the Northhampton International CyclocrossAnother elite performance by Army Cycling team over Veterans Day Weekend at Northhampton International Cyclocross. The race drew over 1700 cyclists and housed the largest Men’s Pro UCI Elite event ever. They started the day with Ammon Okazaki’s strong performance and finish in the top 15 in his field of over 150 riders. Elizabeth Huuki also managed to crack the top 15 in her field of over 70 cyclists. Tristan Manderfeld followed with a stunning performance in the Men’s Pro UCI C2 event, competing alongside current National Champion Jeremy Powers, UCI World Team Member Joe Dombroski, and Pan-American Champ Curtis White. Army West Point Cycling Team presented National Champion, Jeremy Powers with a Stars and Stripes West Point Jersey before the start of the race. This was symbolic because current national champions are allowed to wear the stars and stripes to show off their national championship. Presenting the Jersey was the CIC Tristan Manderfeld and after the race Jeremy Powers tweeted out some pictures to his over 25,000 followers.
