Cadets in Land Use Planning visit the Solaire

23 Cadets enrolled in Dr. Richmond’s EV391a, Land Use Planning and Management, visited the first environmentally friendly residential tower in Manhattan, the Solaire. Cadets got a tour and were able to experience the technology used to make this a “green” building. In the afternoon, Cadets explored the highline to see how this once functioning elevated streetcar was turned into a park and tourist destination, thereby transforming the urban space.
