Firstie goaltender Parker Gahagen was named the Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Month after helping the Army West Point hockey team get off to its best start since the 2006-07 season, going 3-2-1 overall and 3-1-0 in league play in October. Gahagen leads Atlantic Hockey in both goals against average and save percentage with 1.33 and 0.955 marks, respectively. Those numbers also rank him fourth in the nation behind a trio of Ivy League/ECAC goalies. He has backstopped the top penalty-killing unit in Atlantic Hockey, allowing just three power-play goals in 43 attempts, a 93.0 percent kill rate. Gahagen also posted back-to-back shutouts to open league play, helping him carry a scoreless streak of over 142 minutes during the month. Read More
