The cadets in the class had just finished several lessons on interviewing skills, and LTC Black focused on oral histories, using several interviews from the Center for Oral History’s “African-American Military Experience” archive to reinforce to the cadets the skills he spoke about during the class. He also discussed methods used to prepare for the interviews, different interviewing techniques, and the technical considerations for collecting oral histories.
