The EECS Department, in collaboration with the CME Department, hosted the annual Robotics Workshop in Thayer Hall. The instruction was led by six staff and faculty members, as well as two roboticists from MIT Lincoln Laboratory. A total of 30 Cadets from different academic year groups participated in the event, along with three CME instructors who desired to broaden their knowledge in the field. Cadets were allowed to choose between two tracks based on their interest and prior exposure to robotics. The more advanced track focused on leveraging the Robot Operating System (ROS) and TurtleBots to learn about sensor integration and autonomous control of robots. The other track introduced beginners to the fundamental concepts of embedded systems programming using the Arduino.
