Cycling Collegiate Track Nationals at Giordana Velodrome

The Army West Point Cycling Team participated in Collegiate Track Nationals at Giordana Velodrome in Rock Hill, SC. Eighteen Army Cyclists competed in a total of 12 different events of varying distances and styles, ranging from 200 meter sprints to 4 km time trials and Team Time Trials. The team had a wide range of experience going into Nationals, with some riders participating in their first ever national competition. Despite the limited experience of our new riders, their contributions greatly enhanced the overall team performance. Likewise, our veteran riders put out peak performances, with many individuals improving their times from last year. Ultimately, the combined team effort resulted in winning the first Club Track Cycling National Championship in recent years, improving from last year's second place performance. The cycling team is excited to have won a National Championship and is looking forward to continuing its high level of performance into both Cyclocross and Mountain seasons.
