Freshman Rex Epps netted his team-leading fifth goal of the season on Tuesday night to help the Army West Point men's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Sacred Heart in a nonconference match at Campus Field. With the victory, the Black Knights have two wins in a row for the first time this season and improve to 4-3-1, while the Pioneers fall to 2-5-2. Epps scored the game winner in the 12th minute on an assist from senior Nick Williams. Freshman Justin Stoll was credited with five saves for his second consecutive shutout, including stopping a penalty shot just 1:38 into the match. Army defeats Sacred Heart for the second year in a row to improve to 7-1-2 all-time versus the Pioneers. Epps scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season. He ranks tied for first in the Patriot League. Williams' assist in the win marked his first of the year. Stoll stopped a career-high five shots and improved his save percentage to .933 and his goals against average to .330. He leads the Patriot League in both categories.
