Equestrian Show at Morgan Farm

Clik here to view.The West Point Equestrian Team hosted their first show of the season. The home show was hosted in conjunction with the O’Neill High School Equestrian Team at Morgan Farm. Although the show will not count for regional qualification, the West Point riders did their best and placed well within their classes. Notable 1st place highlights include Cadet Charlotte Hereford ’20 in Open Fences (also placed 2nd in Open Flat), Cadet Matilda Brady ’19 in Novice Flat (as well as 2nd in Novice Fences). Cadet Crystel Calderon ’17 in Novice Fences, Midshipman TK Grundy (USNA ’18) in Walk Trot Canter, and Cadet Taylor Krug ’20 in both Walk Trot and Walk Trot Ground Poles. We also had many second place finishers including Cadet Rachel Schloo ’20 in Open Fences, Cadet Alex Vinson ’17 in Novice Flat (also placing 3rd in Novice Fences), and Cadet Kaelynn Mayes ’20 in Walk Trot Canter. We would also like to recognize Cadet Robert Seals ’20 for placing 3rd in Walk Trot Canter and our German exchange cadet, Merle Kreye, for placing 3rd in Open Flat and Open Fences. All in all, the team had a great time, enjoying a beautiful day and great competition.
