The Army West Point Equestrian Team travelled to Saugerties, NY for the HITS Saugerties $1 Million Grand Prix. This Fédération Equestre Internationale Jumpers’ competition features riding champions from the U.S. and all around the world. Riders navigate a jump course going over 1.70 m fences to compete for the $330,000 1st prize. The West Point Equestrian Team is invited to this prestigious event every year. This year, the West Point Col-or Guard, West Point Band, and Hell Cats were also invited. All four groups assembled to march-on at the opening ceremony. MSG Mary-Kate Messenger, from the West Point band, sang an amazing rendition of the National An-them as the Equestrian cadets rendered honors to the National Colors. The rest of the day was spent enjoying the show at the $1 Million Grand Prix.
