West Point Women’s Team Handball travelled to Washington, D.C, where both the Gold and Black Team competed against local team handball clubs. On Saturday morning, West Point Black faced off against the local club from Washington, D.C.; a tight game resulted in a West Point defeat. Next, the West Point teams played each other in the second match of the day. After a good fight between the two teams, West Point Black emerged as the winner. West Point Gold then proceeded to play NYC; despite an NYC victory, West Point Gold’s improvement was never more evident as it was in this well-fought match as they played their best performance yet against an experienced NYC. Lastly, West Point Black finished the day with a match against Ocean City. The game came down to a final penalty shot after a long, back-and-forth scoring game. Unfortunately, Ocean City pulled ahead and defeated West Point Black by one point.
