Plomb Takes Player of the Week Honors

WEST POINT, NY - After helping lead the Army West Point men's basketball team to its fifth consecutive victory, Tanner Plomb has been named the Patriot League Men's Basketball Player of the Week as well as the Army Athletic Association Athlete of the Week, it was announced Monday. It marked the second time this season Plomb was recoginzed by the Patriot League and the third weekly honor of his career. Click here to watch the video.

Plomb and the Black Knights knocked off Service Academy rival Air Force, 90-80, on Saturday afternoon in Colorado Springs, Colo., to improve to 8-2 for the second straight season. It was Army's first-ever victory in a true road game against the Falcons and Plomb also became the 30th player in Army history to reach the 1,000-point mark for his career. The senior forward from Mukwonago, Wis., averaged 22 points over Army's two road victories this past week against Air Force and Bryant. Plomb scored 15 of his 18 points against Air Force after halftime and converted 10-of-11 free-throw attempts, which equaled his career high.
