Clik here to view.Two policy teams from the Cadet Competitive Cyber Team earned big wins at a recent competition. The team composed of CDTs Nicholas Liebers '23, Vishnu Kumar '23, Alexander Strawley '23, and Peter Toth '24 placed first overall, beating out teams from UT-Austin and Stanford in the final round. The team comprising CDTs Benjamin Wettstein '23, Connor McGurk '23, Ian Schneier '23, and Mark Kirby '23 advanced to the semifinal round and was awarded the “Most Creative Policy Response” award. The teams were coached by CDTs Gregg Puttkammer '23, Michael Dwerlkotte '23, and MAJ Nicolas Starck '12. The regional Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge, hosted by Atlantic Council and the Strauss Center at University of Texas-Austin, included over 15 teams from universities across the Nation. The competition charged teams with responding to a complex cyber incident that implicated critical infrastructure, supply chain resilience, and transnational organizations.
