Grappling Takes 16 Medals in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Twelve cadets fighters from the Army West Point Grappling Team travelled to King of Prussia, PA, to compete in a sanctioned Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament. The tournament had over thirty bouts, and the Army West Point team managed to take home sixteen medals by competing in both Gi and No-Gi Divisions. The cadets that received medals in their respective divisions include: CDT Brandon Freerkson (Second Place); CDT Danny Gray (First Place); CDT Erica Forktus (Second Place); CDT Alex Soler (First Place); CDT Mike Volpe (First Place); CDT JT Aaron ( Second Place); CDT Tyler Parker (Third Place); CDT Danny Gray (First Place); CDT Paul Getchell (Second Place); CDT Airyn Nash (Third Place); CDT Jayleen Perez (Fourth Place); and CDT Saud Bin Saud (Second Place).
