Alpine Ski Welcomes Coach Robert McIntee

The Army West Point Alpine Ski Team welcomes to it’s ranks, Coach Robert (Bob) McIntee from Goshen, NY. He brings with him a rich background of over 40 years in the industry having been a certified Ski Patroller, Professional Ski Instructor, U.S. Ski Association Coach and Resort Administrator. To add to the excitement of this years’ team, coming off competing at National’s last year at Mt. Bachelor in Bend, OR, the Army Downhillers are competing in a brand new conference, the Atlantic High-lands Conference. Participating in the new conference allow the Army Shredders to compete at Mountains closer to home, and in some cases with more challenging terrain, such as Belleayre and Hunter Mountains in the Catskills. The Army Alpines will compete against the likes of Lafayette College, Columbia, Rutgers, UPenn and Drexel to name a few. This year the Army Alpiners anticipate returning to Regionals, getting a shot at making Nationals again this year at Lake Placid, NY, and hosting/whipping Navy here at Victor Constant Ski Area this winter.
