American Institute of Chemical Engineers at the AIChE Nationals

Nine cadets from the West Point Chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), travelled to Salt Lake City, UT, to attend the 2015 AIChE Nationals. There, CDT Bradley Ernst (West Point AIChE President) and CDT J. Keith Basnett (Vice President) gave a presentation along with AIChE representatives from the University of Michigan and Massachusetts Institute of Technology that covered how to establish an International Sister Chapter of AIChE. The audience included students and faculty advisors from universities from across the country, and even some International Chapter members. Cadets also attended professional workshops to learn non-Newtonian fluids, prepare for the fundamentals of engineering exam, and to prepare for the chemical engineering car competition.
