On the evening of 30 September, the Combating Terrorism Center hosted its annual Yearling Lecture, which featured distinguished speaker Mark Giuliano, deputy director of the FBI. Mr. Giuliano shared his insights on effective interagency cooperation as well as the importance of law enforcement as related to national security. The Combating Terrorism Center hosts the Yearling Lecture each fall as a professional development opportunity for yearling cadets. Through this platform, cadets are able to learn about counterterrorism policy directly from a current or former senior government official. The goal of the event is to educate and inspire cadets as they consider available majors, summer enrichment activities, and future career paths.
