Army Dominates Buzzard's Bay Sprint Triathlon

Clik here to view.The Army West Point Triathlon Team traveled to Westport, Massachusetts to compete in the Buzzard's Bay Sprint Triathlon as part of the Northeast Collegiate Triathlon Conference fall season, Sept. 20. The Army team dominated the collegiate division. Cadet Jacob Slife was the top collegiate male while Cadet Nick Chatel finished third. Cadets Catherine Sedy, Mackenzie Williams and Paige Dougherty placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively in the collegiate female division. The team won the competition in the women’s, men’s, and overall categories. Next week, five members of the Army team will go to the IRONMAN 70.3 Superfrog to compete for slots to the Ironman World Championship in Kona, while the remainder of the team competes for the Northeast Collegiate Triathlon Conference Championship in Westchester, New York.
