Making an immediate impact in her first semester of collegiate rugby, Nicole Heavirland has been named a USA Rugby All-American, as announced by the governing body. Heavirland joined the Black Knights in the spring of 2015 and quickly became the team's biggest threat. As a plebe, she led the team with 107 points, recording 12 tries, 41 successful conversions and a penalty kick in 7s action.
She was named the MVP of the American Collegiate Rugby Association (ACRA) 7s Championships and the Army Athletic Association Athlete of the Week after recording 33 points in four matches, including a try in the title game victory over rival Norwich.
