The West Point Speech and Parliamentary Debate Team Compete Against Royal Military College Canada Counterparts

The West Point Speech and Parliamentary Debate team, led by CDT Knox Watson ‘25 and CDT Blake James ’23, met stiff competition with their Royal Military College Canada (RMCC) counterparts during the championship debate round judged by Navy LT Ness of RMCC and COL Chris Mayer '93, Acting Department Head of West Point English and Philosophy. Despite the outstanding performance by both teams, West Point won by a slight margin and the RMCC debate team surrendered the trophy that has passed between schools since 1952 and which will be kept in West Point's Department of English and Philosophy until next year’s competition.
