CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- As the Patriot League continues to announce its 2015 men's lacrosse awards this week, senior goalkeeper Sam Somers and junior defenseman Austin Schultz both earned Academic All-Patriot League honors on Wednesday afternoon.
Not only does the pair help anchor an Army West Point defense that ranks No. 3 in the NCAA in scoring defense, both carry well over the required 3.20 cumulative grade-point average to be considered for Academic All-Patriot League plaudits. It is the second year in a row that the two have been members of the Patriot League All-Academic Team. Somers carries a 3.342 GPA and is an art, philosophy and literature major.
