For the third straight week, Anthony Firriolo was named the Atlantic Hockey Association Rookie of the Week, while John Zimmerman was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league on Tuesday.
Firriolo continued his hot streak with a goal and two blocks in the team's 5-4 victory over New Hampshire last Sunday. The plebe picked up his third straight Rookie of the Week honor to close out 2019.
Zimmerman was named the Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season as well. The cow posted a pair of assists in the game, both on the power play. He also added three blocks in the effort.
Both Firriolo and Zimmerman had a role in the team's 5:00 penalty kill to help keep the Wildcats at bay.
No. 20 Army is set to take on No. 14 Providence tomorrow in the Fortress Invitational.
