Publication of recent article in the Journal of Power Sources. The Journal of Power Sources published a study authored by MAJ Patrick Linford (and team) demonstrating a system to harvest power from intermittent heat sources using electrochemical redox couples. The system shows the potential to harvest low-quality waste heat to power wireless sensors and can operate in environments without temperature gradients in space, only in time such as diurnal cycles. The article is titled Multi-cell thermogalvanic systems for harvesting energy from cyclic temperature changes. The work has also resulted in a filed patent with the US patent office.
