Four Army West Point wrestlers were named in the InterMat, FloWrestling and The Open Mat preseason polls.
Firstie Rocco Caywood, along with cows Ben Harvey, Noah Stewart and Lucas Weiland found themselves in the respective polls. Harvey (13th IM, 12th Flo, 13th TOM) and Weiland (17th IM, 13th Flo, 13th TOM) were the only Cadets ranked in all three polls. Caywood saw his name in the InterMat and The Open Mat rankings at 18th in each, while Stewart was recognized as the 20th-best 184-pounder by FloWrestling.
Harvey advanced to the blood round of the NCAA Championships a season ago (one-win shy of being an All-American), becoming the first Army wrestler to do so after dropping his first match since Patrick Simpson in 2006. His 4-2 record marked just the 15th time an Army wrestler won at least four matches at nationals. The New Palestine, Ind., native ranked second on the team with a 22-11 record.
