After two stars in the annual Star Series presented by USAA were claimed over the weekend by the Army West Point men's cross country and men's soccer teams, cows Roman Ollar and Keenan O'Shea were named AWPAA Co-Athletes of the Week. Ollar led the field opposite Navy with a time of 23:58.2, the fastest mark ever recorded by an Army runner at the Naval Academy course. He helped the Black Knights claim their second straight win over the Midshipmen, a feat that has only been accomplished three times before. It also marked the program's seventh win at the Navy since 1960. In four meets this season, the West Linn., Ore., native has three top-five finishes. Earlier this season, he placed inside the top-25 in a field of over 350 runners at the highly competitive Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh.
O'Shea played a pivotal role in Army's 4-1 victory over service-academy rival Navy in the seventh installment of the Army-Navy Cup at Talen Energy Stadium. In a crowd of over 8,500, he tied the game up at 1-1 late in the first half, before sending another strike into the back of the net for an insurance score in the 66th minute. It was his first collegiate multi-goal performance and now has three career scores in Army-Navy Cup contests, the most by any Cadet or Mid in the game's seven-year history. The Chesterfield, Va., native is in the midst of a standout junior campaign and currently sits atop the league in goals (7) and points (18), while ranking second in assists (4).
