Army Water Polo travelled to Philadelphia recently to compete in a tournament at Villanova. The Army team arrived on Friday and went immediately to the pool to play their first game against Villanova. Villanova was off to a quick start and scored three goals in the first quarter while they held the Army team to zero. Jinwon Heo helped to turn the tide as he scored the first goal of the game for Army, sparking a four-goal streak. Unfortunately, Villanova held Army off just long enough to end the game in a 10-7 loss for Army. Army came back on Saturday ready to win. They took on the University of Maryland for their first game. They won in a hard-fought game with a final score of Army 8, Maryland 6. Army's third and final game was against the University of Pennsylvania. Army dominated the field and ended with a score of 9-2. Even the goalie, Jeff Stark, got in on the action with an impressive shot over the UPenn goalkeepers head. In the fourth quarter, Patrick Cowley had the chance to take over goal and performed well with several saves.
