Cadets in Criminal Law and Special Topics in Law traveled to Fordham University School of Law in Manhattan to hear oral arguments in a case before the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. Cadets heard oral argument from military attorneys for the U.S. Army Legal Service Agency (USALSA) Government and Defense Appellate Divisions as well as Fordham Law student amici in the case of United States v. Criswell. The case involves the reliability of eyewitness identification in court, and the improper use of photographic lineups by law enforcement. After the court proceedings, Cadets and members of Fordham's Veteran Law Students Society had the opportunity to meet over lunch with the attorneys and judges involved with the case to discuss contemporary issues in military law and careers in military law.
