Princeton Writing Program

The International Affairs and International Relations teams hosted two faculty members from the Princeton Writing Program. Dr. Alex Davis and Dr. Erin Vearncombe moderated an incredibly valuable writing workshop entitled "How to Teach Writing in Social Science." As a social scientist himself, Dr. Davis contributed valuable subject-matter expertise and a fluency in writing instruction to the workshop. Dr. Davis and Dr. Vearncombe catered the workshop specifically to the SS307 "SOSH Paper," and adapted their 6-step writing model and valuable in-class writing exercises to meet the needs and requests of SS307 and the broader IA faculty. The leadership of the West Point Writing Program also attended to exchange ideas and best practices on how to instruct faculty members in a writing-focused course.
