The Equestrian Team attended the HITS Saugerties Series and the team marched in the arena to present the colors with the 854th Engineer Battalion Reserves. On the last day of riding, world class equestrians competed in hunter and jumper courses for the $500,000 Grand Prix prize. In addition to watching competitors ride, cadets interacted with members of the equestrian collegiate community and former members of the USMA equestrian team.
The team went to Pine Valley, NY to purchase new gear for the upcoming season. The new team members who were outfitted in the necessary team practice gear for the first time. The staff at Green Valley were wonderful, successfully supplying the members with all necessary items. It was a positive experience for all involved, and it allowed the team to continue fostering positive relationships within the regional equestrian community. Team members look forward to putting their new gear to use in their first show of the season on September 30, 2018 at Crosswinds Equestrian Center in Lagrangeville, NY.
