Behind a pair of first-half scores by yearling Eric Whiteman, the Army West Point men's soccer team defeated Siena, 3-0, on Tuesday afternoon at the Siena Turf Field.
The Black Knights (2-2-1) continued their unbeaten streak versus the Saints (0-3-3) and claimed its second road victory of the season. The Cadets are now 7-0-1 opposite Siena.
"We needed to show a collective effort today and we did," head coach Russell Payne said. "It was great to see guys step up and contribute as almost everybody played today. Eric did a great job on both sides of the ball and it was great to see Carter (Kowalewski) get his first goal. But, even more importantly, as a team, we showed a great connectivity and a real sense of purpose."
