Yearling Sydney Cassalia of the Army West Point women's soccer team was named the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week, the league announced on Monday. Cassalia collected her third weekly league honors after being named rookie of the week twice last season. The Omaha, Neb., native shut out both Air Force and Fairleigh Dickinson this week, posting four saves in each game. She has not allowed a goal in 357:37 dating back to the team's 1-0 setback at Penn on Aug. 26. Cassalia's streak of three consecutive shutouts is the longest streak by an Army goalkeeper since 2011 when Monica Lee had four consecutive clean sheets against American (Oct. 23), Lafayette (Oct. 30), Colgate (Nov. 4) and Navy (Nov. 6). Cassalia has been one of the nation's top goalkeepers throughout the 2018 season, ranking fourth in goalie minutes played (800:00), tied for sixth in shutouts (5), 11th in save percentage (0.918), tied for 16th in total saves (45), 25th in goals-against average (0.450) and 48th in saves per game (5.63).
