Volleyball Sweeps Southeastern Louisiana

CDT Ana Oglivie '21Riding off its momentum from last Friday night's thrilling victory, the Army West Point volleyball team defeated Southeastern Louisiana Saturday morning in straight sets to improve to 3-2 on the year. The Black Knights have now won six sets in a row and will play in the West Point Invitational Championship tonight against Hofstra. Army controlled the first set with a 17-5 kill advantage over the Lions. Thanks to Lauren Janok and Nikki Lum, 16 of those 17 kills were assisted. Sydney Morriss hit .500 in the first set with seven kills to lead both sides. The second set featured 14 tie scores and seven lead changes, but the Black Knights kept their cool to win it 25-23. With the set tied 22-22, the Cadets were able to outscore the Lions 3-1 to clinch. Two kills from Emmy Barnhorst and a kill from Courtney Horace helped. Read More
