Rookie Kalie Rosenberger of the Army West Point women's soccer team was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Rosenberger's first weekly honor comes after a two-goal performance against Binghamton that led the Black Knights to a 2-1 victory. After trailing 1-0, the St. Louis, Mo., native netted goals in the 53rd and 75th minutes to complete the comeback. She produced Army's first multi-goal effort since Sept. 18, 2016 when Samantha Sullenger scored twice against Fairleigh Dickinson. Additionally, she is the only plebe in the last eight years to record two or more goals in a single game.
The Black Knights return to action this weekend as they head to Northern Arizona for a Friday contest at 10 a.m. ET. They will conclude the road trip with a neutral site contest in Flagstaff, Ariz., against CSU Northridge on Sunday which is set to kick off at 4 p.m. ET.
