The Army West Point rifle team is primed for a challenging schedule with the 2018-19 season just around the corner as the Black Knights face four teams that competed at last year's NCAA Championships. Among the schools highlighting the Black Knights' upcoming schedule are 2018 NCAA champion Kentucky and 2017 NCAA champion West Virginia (runner-up last year), along with Nebraska (placed fifth), all members of the Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) that also includes Army and Navy.

Air Force rounds out that NCAA contingent. The Falcons finished fifth at last year's championships and are also the defending All-Academy President's Trophy champion that includes Army (placed second), Navy and Coast Guard. The Black Knights will look to dethrone the Falcons when the teams meet in Annapolis, Md., Nov. 3. The defending GARC regular-season and tournament champion Mountaineers visit West Point during the fall for a triangular match to include Coast Guard on Oct. 27.

Nebraska opens Army's home spring slate Jan. 12 prior to the Black Knights setting their targets on arch-rival Navy less than a month later (Feb. 2). Read More
