As the 2018 season comes to an end, the Army West Point men's lacrosse team will face its final opponent of the year in the eighth-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish in South Bend, Ind.
The Black Knights and Fighting Irish will face each other on Saturday, 5/5/2018, at 1 p.m. ET. The game will be aired on the ACC Network to mark the second appearance for Army this season on the network.
ARMY (5-7, 2-6 Patriot League) Army and Notre Dame will battle for the eighth time in series history. The Fighting Irish boast a 6-2 advantage, but Army came out on top last season in an overtime thriller. David Symmes had a career day with four goals and the game-winner in overtime. Cole Johnson, Nate Jones and Conor Glancy all chipped in, with a goal and an assist each. It was Army's second win over Notre Dame in program history, and first under Joe Alberici. The Fighting Irish jumped out to a 4-1 lead after the first quarter, but six goals in the second set Army up for the overtime victory.
