USMA-Vassar Exchange Initiative

LTC Casey Doss of the History Department led a trip in support of the USMA-Vassar Exchange Initiative. Ten cadets travelled to Vassar College and were paired with student escorts to gain insight into life at Vassar. They had lunch and a discussion with Vassar President Elizabeth Bradley, and finished the event by touring Hyde Park and President Franklin Roosevelt’s home. The initiative is an outreach program sponsored by the Mellon Foundation which aims to bridge the military-civilian divide through meaningful academic and social exchange. This is the third year of the program.
