Cadets from the Korean American Relations Seminar (KARS) visited Boston, MA to discuss the meaning of being Asian American serving in the U.S. Army. One of the cadets on the trip section, CDT Maeng '21, is a cadet from South Korea and will commission in the Republic of Korea Army. He provided KARS a Korean citizens' perspective on U.S. military personnel in Korea and how civilians interact with U.S. Soldiers. KARS visited the Massachusetts Korean War Memorial and payed respects to those who served in the Forgotten War. This was a great opportunity for the cadets to understand Korean American history, and discuss Asian American values/experiences with each other.
