Hovren Receives All-Met First Team Honors

Forward Madison Hovren collected All-Met Division I First Team honors from the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association for the second straight year on Tuesday afternoon. She is one of four Cadets in program history who have earned multiple All-Met First Team honors while at West Point. Hovren turned in an impressive cow campaign for Army, leading the team in scoring and rebounding for the second consecutive season. The Spokane, Wash., native finished the year with 14.6 points and 9.8 rebounds per outing. She tallied a league-best 17 double-doubles and seven 20-point performances. She ranked fifth in the league in scoring, third in rebounding and fourth in shooting percentage. Against Loyola on Jan. 27, the two-time All-Patriot League performer became just the 18th Cadet in program history to eclipse 1,000 career points and is currently one of eight Cadets to record over 1,000 points and 600 rebounds.
